Project Overviewx
The Lake Surgery Center (Perkins Road Ambulatory Surgical Center during the construction phase) is a 23,757-square-foot, single-story facility constructed of a steel structure, metal stud framing with plaster and brick veneer at the facade. The project was specifically designed as an outpatient surgical center consisting of pre-operating, operating and post-operating rooms. The project included a complete medical gas system, surgical lighting system and stainless-steel casework in the operating rooms. Milton J. Womack, Inc. was awarded this project with the understanding that work would be completed no later than December 16, 2002, and would not exceed $4,500,000. This project was completed 14 days ahead of schedule with a cost savings to the owner of approximately $193,000.
